Cook time: 10-15 minutes
Ingredients:
1 (12-count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
6 slices (about 1/4 lb) deli ham, thinly sliced
6 slices (about 1/4 lb) deli turkey, thinly sliced
6 slices (about 3 oz) Swiss cheese, halved
Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Garlic Powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon powdered sugar, for dusting
1/4 cup raspberry jam, for dipping
Equipment:
9x13 inch baking dish
Serrated knife
Small bowl
Whisk
Pastry brush (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Slice the Rolls: Using a serrated knife, slice the entire package of Hawaiian rolls horizontally in half, keeping the rolls connected. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.
Layer the Fillings:
Spread Dijon mustard over both halves of the Hawaiian rolls
Layer half of the Swiss cheese slices over the bottom rolls.
Arrange all the ham slices evenly over the cheese.
Layer all the turkey slices evenly over the ham.
Top with the remaining Swiss cheese slices.
Brush the Rolls: Brush the butter and garlic mixture evenly over the tops of the Hawaiian rolls.
Bake the Sliders: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the tops of the rolls are lightly golden brown. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.
Dust with Powdered Sugar: Once the sliders are out of the oven, let them cool for a minute or two. Then, lightly dust the tops with powdered sugar.
Serve: Carefully slice the sliders apart into individual portions. Serve warm with raspberry jam for dipping.
Tips and Variations:
Cheese: You can experiment with other cheeses like Gruyere or a mild cheddar.
