Meatloaf

Yields: 6-8 servings

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 1 hour 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef

  • 1/2 lb. sausage

  • 1 cup Panko crumbs

  • 1 cup finely chopped/diced onion

  • 1 cup bell pepper diced

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp Heinz 57 sauce

  • 1 tsp Accent seasoning

  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning

  • 1 tsp lemon pepper

  • 1 tsp steak seasoning

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 (15.5 oz) can Manwich Bold sauce

  • 1 tablespoon mustard

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, gently mix together the ground beef, Panko crumbs, onion, beaten egg, salt, pepper, and ½ cup of the Manwich sauce and mustard. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the meatloaf tough.

  3. Shape the Loaf: Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a shallow baking pan.

  4. First Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Drain any excess liquid from the pan.

  5. Add Topping: Pour the remaining Manwich sauce evenly over the loaf.

  6. Second Bake: Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until it is cooked through and a meat thermometer inserted into the center registers 160°F (70°C).

  7. Rest and Serve: Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
